BE VERY CAREFUL BUYING A USED CAR FROM HERE. Purchased a used car with 87k miles in January of 2023. Never felt like it ran right specifically shifting gears & by December of 2023 I was told it needed a new timing chain and possibly a new engine. The mechanic said the engine appeared to have almost no maintenance for the lifetime of the car ("looks like its had about 3 oil changes in it's lifetime" and the timing chain was shot. Feels like this is something a minor inspection of the car would have picked up on. I bought as is assuming they would have done their diligence, so be sure to either get some warranty or have a mechanic review it before purchasing.

I have enjoyed driving a few Audis' over the past decade. Unfortunately my last was totalled in an accident and I never was able to find the right replacement. I was looking for almost a year, but that all changed about 2 weeks ago. I called the dealership and didn't have much luck with a salesmen over the phone. So I began looking everywhere I could. I had marked down about seven vechiles I was looking at a few different car dealerships. I was drawn to an A6 and an SQ5 at the Audi of Des Moines so I went to check them out. When driving through the lot I went to look at an 2018 SQ5. As I was peering through the window at the beautfiul carbon fiber interior my wife and I were approached by Susan Baldwin. At frist I thought maybe she was another car shopper out on a cold day but as we spoke I learned she worked at the dealership. She had such an atmosphere of no pressure and being approachable. Still I wasn't wanting to talk with a salesperson just yet so I asked her some specific questions about the Audi (mileage, number of owners etc) that I expected her to need to check on. I was taken back by how much she immedately knew. I could tell almost immediately that she really enjoyed cars and was very insightful. I felt like she was there to actually help us not to just make a sale. She listened to what we were looking for in our next vechile purchase for our family, and she helped me narrow down my list. It was a real treat to work with Susan Baldwin and go through the process of buying a car. I expected the whole dealership ordeal to be painful but I was pleasantly suprised! She was awesome at explaining the details, answering any questions we had and really helped us make sure we got the best possible match for our family. She was truly fabulous! This didn't just stop after the sale either. She has been great at follow up and checking in on how we were doing with our new car. If you're going to buy from Audi of Des Moines you can only go right with Susan.
